It’s Purpose

a. Sacrifice—Bring a gift—The gift is of God’s choosing.

b. zbh—to slaughter or to kill—Without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sins: Genesis 2:17 eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God demonstrated how man was to approach Him in Genesis 3:21

c. Sacrifice thereon—The sacrifice was a representation of the one bringing it. In math this is called the substitution property. That means that one thing represent something else or represent the value of something else. Substitution for you: Giving you would have been an unacceptable offering. However, after the substitutional work of Christ, we can now offer ourselves as an acceptable offering. Rom.12:1

c. Burnt Offering—Sin offering

d. Peace Offering—Fellowship

It’s Place

a. All Places—God gave them a traveling church. The church was to be mobil.

b. Wherever God recorded His name--

It’s Pleasure

a. I will come unto you—Make my presence known or experienced

b. I will bless you—fill with strength
